| All
of my dogs are indoor dogs. They eat home-made diets, lay
on the furniture, and sleep on the bed.

Buster
is out of Waldo X Mona, littermate to Streak, Jordan, and
Gizzy bred by Steve and Linda Helmick. At 109 lbs, Buster
has a stable, friendly temperament but flips the switch
into high drive when competing. He has competed in several
Iron Dog Triathlons and Pentathlons, became a ranked Iron
Dog his first time out, and has never placed lower than
3rd. He is included on the Iron Dog website on the Titled
Dogs, Ranked Dogs, and Breeders with Ranked Dogs pages which
can be viewed at www.irondog.biz.
"Since Buster has only had basic obedience classes
and no formal training, I can only attribute his natural
abilities and extreme drive to great genetics."–
Thanks Steve and Linda!

DallisTexAnne,
TDI, Delta Pet Partner, CGC.
DallisTexAnne
was dual registered with both Therapy Dogs International
and the Delta Society. She passed in 2005 at the age of
8 1/2 and it wrecked me to lose her. DallisTexAnne was a
24/7 needs dog: It's easier to say what wasn't medically
wrong with her than what was. She had a profound impact
on my life and losing her changed me as a person. I have
not been able to bring myself to add another dog to my pack
since her passing. She did Animal Assisted activities in
a home for the profoundly mentally retarded and developmentally
disabled (MR/DD). She also assisted as a rep doing booth
events where we instructed others about what therapy dogs
do and the different types of therapy dogs. Dallis had some
serious health issues and was a medical anomaly from head
to toe from the age of 11 weeks (8 different vets told us
she would die before she turned a year old)... She taught
me more about life, perseverance, true happiness, and unconditional
love and trust in her brief 8.5 years of life than any human
could ever teach me. She had a lifelong battle with MCT
and her image currently serves as the Guardian Angel for
a non-profit organization that assists owners whose dogs
have been diagnosed with cancer. |

AuRoara-Blaze |
AuRoara-Blaze
is Bilaterally Deaf. She is just as drivey as the
boys and built like a tank at 102 pounds. I communicate
to her with hand signals: She currently knows approximately
45 signs and several phrases. Roar was trained in tracking
with a goal of doing Search and Rescue, until she had ACL
surgery and at that time was diagnosed with spondylosis,
which caused us to choose a different path of work for her.
She
was also dx two years ago with eociniphilic myositis of
the head (aka MMM) and has recurring bouts of it. I wrote
a short story about her which was approved for inclusion
into an upcoming book of short stories about life with Deaf
dogs. Roar has awesome, if not sometimes freaky, communication
skills and always makes me laugh with her antics. She hasn't
been able to accomplish any true titles so instead she has
been crowned " Official Queen Bee". |
